EXCLUSIVE TOURS
The walking tours listed on this page are completely original and exclusive to Fabulondon. I'm always thinking up unusual itineraries and love discovering quirky sites.
So, if you already know London a little and fancy discovering its more hidden secrets, come along on one of these walks!
Explore East London and its diverse heritage. Find out how, over history, Shoreditch went from being the first and original Theatreland in the XVI C, to Jewish ghetto in the late XIX C and finally one of the capital's trendiest quarters today.
We will browse Spitalfields market and marvel at the amazing street art which has turned the neglected area around Brick Lane into a captivating outdoor art gallery (I will show you a couple of Banksy's, too!). Artists from all over the world flock to London which has become far more tolerant towards this subversive form of artistic expression.
Also helped by the London 2012 Olympics' budget, Tower Hamlets -one of the poorest boroughs in the country- has spectacularly reinvented itself as fashionable hub for glamourous clubbers and fastidious foodies.
STREET ART ATTACK
This walk is designed for those of you who know London or have already seen the main sights. If you enjoy getting off the proverbial ''beaten track'', then this is the tour for you. Starting from Tower Hill, you'll discover secluded gardens, deconsecrated churches, disused train stations, obscure monuments, ancient pubs, Roman ruins, converted markets, XVII c alleyways and a handful of sculptures and ornaments thrown in for good measure.
We will finish end in glory in London's West End, with a breath-taking panoramic view of the capital.
This walk is for those who love London's retail choice: from the world-famous multi-department stores such as Selfridge's, Liberty and Harrods, of course (not featured in the half-day version of the walk), to the exclusive Bond Street boutiques (Alexander McQueen), the renowned Fortnum & Mason (a.k.a the Queen's grocer) and the popular Covent Garden which attracts in excess of 10 million visitors every year, we will visit and discover the history of these retailers, taking obligatory mini-shopping breaks, obviously
